Acknowledgement of BSCF Schools Petition from Herts County Council

I am writing to thank you for your letter dated the 19th December 08 on the above subject and to inform you that I have shared the content of your letter with my Civic Federation committee colleagues at our recent meeting.

The Federation was particularly interested to note and welcomed your comments in the last sentence of your letter, in which you indicated that it was your intention to engage with the wider community of Bishops Stortford to ensure that their future schooling needs are met.

As know the Civic Federation is made up of a number of Residents Association and as such are in constant touch with local communities through their representatives on the committee. In this role the Federation is able to obtain feedback and measure the strength of feeling across a wide range of issues and where appropriate make representation on their behalf.

Finally, the Civic Federation would be pleased to participate in your future strategy for secondary schools in Bishops Stortford and, therefore, would welcome the opportunity to meet with you at your convenience.
