Thank you for your letter of 1 June
The Civic Society finds the results of the County's traffic modelling surprising to say the least. We wondered whether the modelling had allowed for the impact once the goods yard site had been redeveloped and the new road built through it. It would be very short sighted to plan the Jackson Square development as if it were a stand alone project. In any event it would surely reduce the number of potentially conflicting traffic movements if the entry and exit points to the car park were reversed, with entry from Adderley Road and exit on to the Causeway. Please could you consider this.
Finally, could you let me know what the position is on the transport plan for the town and whom to contact about it.
JOHN RHODES
CHAIRMAN
Bishop's Stortford Civic Society
